Pre-Visit Consultation Guide
Before we arrive, this guide will walk you through what to expect, how to prepare, and what we evaluate during a professional retaining wall or outdoor construction consultation.
WELCOME
Thank you for scheduling a consultation with All Bills Construction / Cincy Retaining Walls.
We understand that retaining wall and drainage problems can raise a lot of questions. Whether you’re dealing with a leaning wall, erosion, poor drainage, or planning a brand-new outdoor project, our goal is to help you understand your options—not overwhelm you.
This guide explains what you can expect before, during, and after your consultation so you know exactly what happens every step of the way.
We’ll evaluate the retaining wall, drainage, grading, surrounding structures, site access, and any visible signs of movement or failure. Every property is different, so we take time to understand the conditions before making recommendations.
If you have property surveys, HOA documents, engineering reports, or previous estimates, they can be helpful—but they’re never required. We’ll explain everything we need during the visit.
After the consultation, we’ll review the information gathered on site and determine the best path forward. Depending on your project, that may include a proposal, engineering recommendations, permitting guidance, or scheduling.
DURING YOUR CONSULTATION
We begin by walking the property with you. This gives us a chance to understand your concerns, see how you use the space, and hear what you hope to accomplish.
We inspect the retaining wall and surrounding areas for signs of movement, cracking, bulging, erosion, settlement, or other structural concerns.
We gather measurements of the wall, slope, elevation changes, access points, and surrounding features to better understand the scope of the project.
Because drainage is one of the most common causes of retaining wall problems, we evaluate water flow, grading, downspouts, and how moisture moves through the site.
We’ll talk about your goals, budget considerations, timeline, and any future plans for the property so our recommendations align with your long-term vision.
Before we leave, we’ll explain the options we see, answer your questions, and outline what the next steps may look like. If engineering or additional planning is appropriate, we’ll explain why.
